"So just before I put her on, she fell and skinned her knee so badly blood was everywhere... so much for my image of our first day of Kindergarten."
Isn't that always the way it is? I have all kinds of ideas for what my school year is going to look like. Oh yes... I am practically giddy with excitement that school has started again and I am alone at Starbucks writing... (well, the millions of other 'buxoholics area also here with me, but they too are wrapped up in their own worlds). But although I have these ideas, I am seasoned enough to know that many of them will not turn out the way I expect. Still, it may be my rose colored glasses, but I can't help imagining every scene in it's perfect, Disneyfied form. Thank goodness I have an outlet for all this creative (because clearly that's what it is) power. Friends ask me what I like about writing romance and the answer is obvious; I get to write happy endings. Maybe, though, this year I'll tackle a really messy women's fiction novel. I can just imagine exactly how it will go.....
