Highclere castle

on the 26th of july I got to tour Buckingham palace but the queen wasn't there, I got to see Windsor castle, I visited chawton house, and, most exciting, highclere castle home of the 5th earl of Carnarvon, and if you know me you probably know that I've wanted to go there my whole life! since I love Egypt this was my dream come true. it was home to howard carter's partner- the 5th earl of Carnarvon who funded the expedition for tutankhamun a.k.a. king tut. any way long story short Carnarvon hid some artifacts in a cupboard in one of the thick doorways then he blocked the doorway off, years later they found the doorway and called in my friend (the curator for the Egyptian things in the metropolitan museum in NY) to see If there was any more artifacts hidden in the estate, there was and now there is a whole exhibit there that houses what they found!
