"The flights all leave at 3:00 and get in at 8:00. Can you meet me?"
A rendevouz... very exciting. I think of where I would like to go right now and come up with Boston. I am hard at work (almost finished) editing Betting Jessica which is partly set in Bean town. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to rendevouz with my characters? Maybe interview them before I publish their story online. I wonder what they would tell me. I was actually living in Boston when I first started writing Betting Jessica. Over the course of writing that book I frequented multiple Starbucks; Lexington (still my favorite for it's fireplace), Concord and Chestnut Hill. This last one was where I did the bulk of my writing, where I dragged my baby carrier in with me after my daughter was born, and most importantly it was located right next to my favorite bakery in the world, Cheryl Ann's ( check out their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cheryl-Anns-of-Brookline/111517888889010) When I moved from Boston I left more than just a ton of great friends... I left the place where I gave birth to my two proudest accomplishments; my daughter and my first novel. Interestingly, both have grown and changed since then. And, as I move within inches of Kindling Betting Jessica I realize I will have to let go and let it take flight on its own. Thankfully, I still have a few more years before I also send my daughter off into the world. Meanwhile, I need to finish my editing and 'book' my character's trip into cyberspace... I may not be able to interview them, but I am excited for all of the people who will meet them for the first time when they land.
